Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian Full Time

JOB DESCRIPTION

¨ We currently have full time or part time (relief) positions available.

¨ Looking for a doctor who is interested in a fast-paced facility, who is committed to providing exceptional medicine and surgery for our patients.   We see everything from minor complaints to emergency and critical patients.

¨ There is 1 doctor on duty at a time with 3 to 4 veterinary assistants/RVTs per shift.  Day and night shifts are available. There are 2 Client Service Representative on duty as well.

¨ We offer benefits to staff doctors.  Medical, Dental, Contributions to Simple IRA accounts, Costco Membership, increasingly accrued paid time off, paid professional memberships and licenses, CE, and an apartment available to commuting veterinarians.

¨ Base pay is guaranteed. Day shift is valued at $1000 per 10 hrs.  Night shift is $1400 per 14 hrs.  Production is calculated and paid on a monthly basis.  9 shifts per month constitutes full time employment. Base compensation ranges from $160,000-$220,000/year.  With production and profit share, compensation easily rises to $280,000+/year.

¨ This facility was established in 1976 and is AAHA accredited. We take pride in the longevity of our employed staff.  Many that have 15+ years invested. We do not offer a formal mentorship program, however, mentorship is part of the culture. We want each other to succeed.

¨ The Practice hosts Cardiology services once a month provided by Coast to Coast Cardiology.

¨ Bakersfield is an affordable place to live and is a brief commute to the Central Coast and LA basin. There is excellent fly and trout fishing along the Kern River, as well as up to class V rapids on the upper Kern River. Easy access to Highway 395 takes you along the beautiful high desert country to Mammoth and the back way to Tahoe. There is abundant outdoor space for recreational hiking in our local mountains as well as nature preserves.
