Kennel Attendant Full Time

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a full-time or part-time veterinary technician to join our team. Ontario Veterinary Hospital is a newly renovated hospital which prides itself in customer service and excellent pet care. This person must be energetic, outgoing, and willing to take initiative in a fast paced hospital. We are a close group of professionals who strive to provide a positive work environment for our co-workers.

Requirements:  Previous verifiable veterinary hospital experience. Weekend availability. Knowledge of animal behavior.  Documentation skills and effective client communication.  Use of medical technologies and diagnostic procedures.  Attention to detail.

General Job Description:  Setting up exam rooms and aiding in exams. Patient care: taking vitals, collecting samples, administration of medication, drugs, vaccinations, etc, Restraining patients appropriately. Running in-house diagnostics, blood work, radio graphs, etc.  Maintain sanitary treatment environment: routine cleaning, sterilization of surgical instruments, etc.

Ensure accurate patient records with documentation, Caring and tending to hospitalized patients. Other duties as they are assigned.
