PRIVATE, FAMILY-OWNED PRACTICE IN METRO WASHINGTON D.C. INVITES AN EXPERIENCED VETERINARIAN TO APPLY FOR ASSOCIATES POSITION TODAY

If you have at least two years of experience as a practicing veterinarian, Village Veterinary Clinic, located in Burke, Virginia, wants to make you a part of our work family.  For over 35 years, our loyal clients and their pet companions have also felt like family in our warm, friendly practice. “Village Vet” as we are known, is a robust practice with state-of-the-art medical and dental, diagnostic, surgical, treatment areas and electronic record management.

As an associate veterinarian you will report to and work closely with the owner, Dr. John Lonam and our other full-time associate, both of whom have over 40 years of experience each.  Ours is a fantastic opportunity to build relationships, grow professionally and support the expansion of a compassionate veterinary practice.

Our practice philosophy is focused on preventative medicine which we individualize based on the animal’s age and lifestyle. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional experienced in general medicine, surgery and dentistry, who has a sense of humor, and the desire to educate the clients and patients who have become part of our extended family.  Village Vet enjoys a diverse and varied case load and services a clientele that is highly dedicated to their pets. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be compassionate and sympathetic, and be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments, offer creative ideas, and accept change.  Our support staff is comprised of kind, fun, skilled and passionate professionals that enable doctors to do what they do best.

Northern Virginia offers the warmth of a small town with highly ranked schools, top-notched medical facilities, and plenty of outdoor activities.  You will have easy access to two major international airports and a short drive to Washington, D.C. where you can enjoy all a big city offers — restaurants, concerts, theatres, museums, sports and parks.  You will also have train access to Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York City.

COMPENSATION 

Salary range $100K – $120K
